The wait is almost over! I just got an email from Audeze that begins like this:

Thank you all again for your support and patience as we wrap up sourcing all the parts for the first production of MM-100 professional headphones! We’re very excited to announce that the first shipments will begin the week of August 7th. Almost all items are now in-house and final assembly has begun. You will receive an automated notification of payment processing for the remaining balance on your headphones if the full amount has not yet been paid in the next few days.

Oof, the weight really did go up by 100g compared to teaser specs - what a shame. That was my big selling point, personally.

I doubt MM100 would sound as bright as Ananda Nano (based on how Audeze tune MM500). I think they would complement each other well.

Why would the wait, I mean ‘weight’ suddenly go up?
Another form of, uh, inflation? Or, perhaps after getting some early feedback, the consensus was that the sound need a little more heft? "Sounds a little thin," they said?
I'm looking forwarding to hearing them soon.
... despite the added wait and added weight. I've added at least 100g myself, perhaps it was to accommodate these?

I don't think audeze realize weight is important part of headphone spec...
I was very interested in buying mm100 when the leak said it was going to be 375g
but @ 475g? I'll pass unless it sounds fking good
imo every 100g added weight, headphone should sound at least 2x better than the equivalently priced headphone
if mm100 had 375g, my expectation would have been lower but at 475g I just don't think mm100 will sound good enough to justify the heavy weight for me
imo at 375g, my expectation for mm100 would have been sundara competitor but at 475g my expectation is he6se v2 competitor (which I doubt it)

475g is getting to nearly double the HD600s. I might have to hold out til there are some reviews regarding the weight and comfort. Hmm.
