Good luck! Very nice iem's.
You have an interesting collection of iems, @Death_Block , my two actual iems are the Sennheiser ie800 and a Campfire Atlas (which i didn't find so different to Solaris 2020: obviously a little bit worse in everything except comfort). How would you compare the lcdi4 to them? Would you say that this could be what an open version of that kind of iems or there are more differences in terms of signature?

I couldn't say the Lcdi4 is anything like any iem. Stock tuning I'd easily go for the z1r hands down. But I enjoy using EQ and the Lcdi4 is like a blank canvas. Whatever you tune them too, they are simply outstanding.

I wholeheartedly agree. For my ears and use, LCD-i4 are pretty much my favorite headphone. Eq, is a must, but totally worth it. For my use, the device pictured changed my life, as it didn't effect my DAP internal tuning, nor the players gain. Also, being balanced, I'm able to connect it to my portable tube amp for some additional tubey goodness. 5 bands is all I needed to tune the i4 to a great overall sound.

Oriolus Se02. It's a 4.4mm 5 band per channel graphic eq. I also have their tube amp the Oriolus BA300s. Both are 4.4mm balanced devices. Both are the size of the Sony ZX507 dap.

I actually own the Oriolus ba300. I may get the se02 if I win the lcd i4 on ebay!

If you do and get curious, hit me up, and I'll send my eq settings. Give you a decent starting off point and you can adjust to add or subtract what you like based on your hearing. I use a Shanling m8. Detailed but warm. I like warm in general

I've bought a used but mint lcd i4. Can't wait to try it. It will give me an alternatice to the kse1200 which I use most days :)

That's awesome. The i4 can be super flat, and can be detailed with deep and strong bass with eq. Still my favorite portable, and one of my favorite headphones overall. My m8 and the SE02 are IT for me. Jazz, pop, classical, hip hop. It really does it all.

I’ve got the n8ii. I’ll probably get the se02 though to make eq easier. When I’m at my work desk I may use eq on the laptop to the hugo2 and then the wa8. I’m hoping the lcd i4 like tubes

So this is funny, On my PC, I do use EQ with my LCD-i4, but when I'm using them with my Fiio M15 with Tidal, I don't feel the need for EQ. lol they just sound good.

Don’t worry, they do love tubes. My N8ii’s settings for i4 is High gain, P+, Tube, AB mode. If you can get the ideal sound with hardware EQ then that‘s great. If not, PEQ should be ideal since it can do more precise adjustment.
