Sorry to have not explained myself clearly. My 4z came with XLR balanced cable, but I need 4.4 to use with my gear. Anyone can recommend a high-end XLR female to 4.4 male adapter? Thanks!

I, and I believe a lot of users would recommend you get something with SOME cable lead between the plugs, as a chonky boy like that one can add a lot of strain to your source input, and damage your gear. Just IMO.
Something like this would be more ideal:
This is just some quick Amazon seartch, but yeah. Real friends don't let friends get barrel style adapters. It's just too much weight.
After weeks of listening, I've concluded that The EE legend Evo is like the 4z in iem form. Obviously the evo are a bit more v shaped, but when I'm wearing evo all day doing errands and come home to listen to the 4z it's almost like nothing changes. They are both intimate, bass dives low, mids are extremely similar. With a bass boost on 4z they sound like brothers! I just thought I'd share
Will they sound similar on a DAP too or just if the 4z is connected to a desktop? The EVO is my favorite IEM and I’m looking for a similar sounding headphone I can use with my DAP
I love the tonality of the LCD-4; full sounding, solidity, weighty thick bass sound. I see some 4z's on Head-fi for sale from 2021 and after. Do these have that similar ultra full bodied tonality? How would a 2021 or 2022 4z differ from a 2020 or 2021 lcd-4?

Violectric have been known to make good synergy with Audeze headphones. The Violectric is a definite upgrade from CMA400i, in both sound and software.
I currently have a Burson Conductor 3XP, using the RCA out as input to the tubes, but if i didnt have that I probably would have went for the Violectric.
Great review. I own the 4z for many of the reasons you describe. Tonal density and physicality of the sound. Plus, it is still a very resolving headphone.
