For those of you who use the filters in Roon, do you use Low-Latency or Linear?

I just use the Audeze presets. For those of you who use the filters in Roon, do you use Low-Latency or Linear?
So do I.. but you can choose between these two options if you click on 'Customize' at the bottom of the Audeze presets screen.I just use the Audeze presets.
Linear, image is clearer with that - at least for me. Anyway I'm not using these filters frequently. For those of you who use the filters in Roon, do you use Low-Latency or Linear?

My right driver suddenly died. Not sure if I want to spend $2k (1.2k + shipping and duties) to fix it.
might just let this go as scrap.

Related but not related, I just saw Audeze is selling a lot of cans for 1000 bucks under regular price.

Especially at this economy. I really2 love the LCD4 as a mastering monitoring tool. Just frustrating for me but I dont think I can shell out $2k just for driver replacements.Sorry to hear that!
I have seen used lcd4's for around $ 2k, just not very often, and still a large sum of money.

Is yours out of warranty? I can't believe they charge such an outrageous price for repairs given their increasingly bad reliabilty recordEspecially at this economy. Oh man...It is one year out of warranty.
Maybe try writing their support email and see if they can do something. This kind of thing should just never happen ever on a pair of 4 thousand euro headphones. And not even on a pair of 1500 euro headphones.
I looked at this page today when I got the email
https://www.audeze.com/products/audeze-oktoberfest-sale
and everything was available. Now everything is sold out except for the LCD-4 which is 2895 USD. I guess if you're in Europe like me it would cost another thousand euros to import a pair and you probably wouldn't want to based on the screwing it looks like you're getting.
Good luck and I hope something is resolved quickly in your favor. Companies selling this kind of gear cannot afford for their stuff to explode if they want repeat customers.

I think if I happen to visit the US, that would be how I could save a few hundred dollars. This would be post covid vaccine though.

According to the Audeze site it looks like the local dealer should be able to get it fixed without you having to pay import duties. Let's hope your distributor helps out.

I believe the LCD-4 has an excellent reputation for reliability once they got away from the 100 Ohm version. My pair is four years on and sound as great as ever. One solution might be to sell to the US for 800-1000 or whatever you could get. The buyer could then get them repaired and have essentially new pair of headphones with a 3 year warranty on the drivers for around 2K. Better than scrapping.
The LCD-4 is now 5 years old. Where is the LCD-5?
