Audeze LCD-4

Yeah but you'll always get the people who will spend more money on their cables for their headphones than the actual headphone itself, like it's supposed to all of a sudden make a headphone better by twofold instead of getting maybe a different or more expensive headphone.  They sure look nice though.

What "material" would best best for a LCD-4 cable assuming my goal is to reduce grain and etch to the absolute minimum?

A. silver
B. copper
C. silver plated copper

Is there any brand that has a reputation for reducing grain more than any other?

They all sound the same. Get something durable and affordable. I have yet to meet someone regardless of what they say that can a/b a decent vs high end cable.

Droopy- the guy from the following site will let you do a free in-home audition of his cables. There are two versions he sends and they are polar opposites. You may find it interesting to have a listen.

Ah, ok, I use a Viva Egoista with XLR outputs, you think it's best to use an XLR cable in place of the 6.3 jack?

To my knowledge, yes.
You get more power through the XLR.
Some people believe that XLR provides wider soundstage and separation.

Myself, I only feel more dynamics.

Any reviews here? I don't think it's worth my time and paid shipping.

I can't tell the difference between my impact cable and my cryo blue audeze cable. But I can tell the difference between my dacs and amps.

Not cables.

I have tried quite a few cables including some more expensive than my early HP's.....I have settled on the Moon Dragons that are pricey but not out of control and are a quality product well made that sound good...I use the silver dragon with the LCD-4 and find the pairing very nice

Mids are "liquid" with the Moon Silver cable?

They won't sound any different.  If one material is more conductive, you can make the other the exact same resistance by simply using a larger gauge.
