My headband touches the carbon fibre. I didn't know it wasn't supposed to. Oh well, its comfy.

They call it "suspended" headband, so it is NOT supposed to touch the carbon fiber.
Have a look at the HE1000 and you will know what I mean.
Exactly, though it's comfy I think if there was a space between the leather and the carbon fibre than it should be more comfortable.

I have seen some users removing the screws and making new holes in the leather so that there's a space when the headphones are open.

Hi All, I was comparing LCD 4s, HD800s and HE6s today with all my favorite music once again before I make the final decision to return the LCD 4s, And interestingly this is what I rate now.
HE6>LCD4>HD800. Heres my reason why.

I preferred the darker signature of the LCD 3s and ordered the 4s. But I didn't knew the new 200 ohm driver made the sound balanced or atleast not dark as before. Which puts them in line with the reference models I own the HE6s and HD800s. I would have kept them if they were darker as the older drivers as a complement to my HE6/HD800s.

Please note I'm not bashing the LCD 4s. This is my personal opinion and on my current setup. The LCD 4s are a marvel and they surely have their place but unfortunately not in mine :frowning2:

Is your HE-6 modded?  I wonder how a modded HE-6 competes.

I have a newer (6screws) HE-6 non-modded. I think it very much competes with the LCD-4 in its own right. It has become my second favorite headphone, only slightly behind the LCD-4.I think it's the light airy, yet visceral impact of the HE-6, along with its perceived speed and resolution, that makes it such a great headphone. My preference is
LCD-4> HE-6> LCD-3(2015 dirivers)> HiFiMan HE-1k> LCD-3(2016 divers)> LCD-XC.

Hello LCD4 owners,
What is your comment on the veil that covers the sound from LCD4. I am not saying it is bad thing, but there is a significant difference that struck you when you change to HD800S in the middle of the music.
