Finally got these beauties in, first impression using Roon CRBN preset (75% wet & linear), these are warmer and smoother sounding than CA1a, SR1a and 1266 TC. On my system, bass level is very similar to Susvara (based on my memory) & just a tad below CA1a. Timbre is less natural and realistic than the ribbon duo (CA1a & SR1a) but the mids are very seductive indeed. Treble is also smoother and not as airy as the ribbons, but details are still plenty. Overall a very easy & non-fatiguing listen. I like them so far.

Took advantage of Audeze’s annual B-stock sale and ordered the CRBN.
Looking forward to listening to it and comparing to my Susvara and X9000.

@normie610 , are you driving the CRBN with the CFA as power amp and Manley as preamp through the SRD-7?
