I'm completely new to headphones and am looking to purchase either the M50's or K451. While the K451's cost £70, the M50's cost £120, are the M50's worth the extra money? What are the pros or cons of each.

I have the M50s and they sound great for home listening with my Audioengine D3.  The M50s are a bit bulky for portable listening though.  The M50 and AKG K451 are two different types of headphones.  The M50s are full-sized, over the ear studio monitors.  The AKGs are on-ear portable 'phones.
