What are safe sources? I just got a M50 for 230$ which is what the M50 cost here. It´s a bit much for this headphone I must admit unless it improves a lot with burnin :)

The M50 and other Audio Tchnica headphones are very expensive in Sweden.

I bought mine second hand in Japan when I lived there last year. I paid around 9.000 yen including shipping, which is about 700 Swedish crowns. They reeked of cigarette smoke, but that aside they were in great condition. I bought a pair of replacement earpads to reduce the smell of cigarette smoke. The spare pads cost me another 2.000 yen.

Japan would be the safest place to get them, but they are not that cheap there. If you look here:

There is only one store who sells them to overseas customers, and they only cost a few hundred crowns less than in Sweden.

In electronics stores in Japan, the retal price is about 18.000 yen (about 1400 Swedish crowns/$170)...

It seems like the best deals can be found in the US. But often they do not ship overseas...

I bought a pair of Audio Technica CM700TI earbuds from iheadphones, and I had no problems with them, so I can recommend them:

Right now they are awaiting stock on the M50, but the price is a bit cheaper than in Sweden - £109.99.
