Ugh, the cord on my m50 sucks right now. I have to put it in the right position to have audio in the left headphone. 
 
I just bought this over the summer, should I send it for warranty? What do you think I should do?

If you still have a warranty go ahead. If not I think you may need to resolder some headphone inputs

Send it in to get fixed. That's what the warranty's for. Be sure to describe the problem as a intermittent loss of sound - a connection problem.

Is it a straight cable or a coiled?

it's a straight cable.
 
I'll look to sending it in for the warranty. The terms say that it doesn't cover regular wear and tear, hopefully they still fix it haha.
