I just got the X1 and I like them, but not as much as I like the Denon D2000s they're (temporarily?) replacing ...
 
If you have heard BOTH the A900x and the X1---how do the two compare?
 
Which did you feel is superior and why?

what did you use with x1? did you use headphone amp? I ordered x1 and can't wait to try it.
I once had AT Ad700 and I never liked the sound signature..

I am using a headphone amp. My setup looks like this: Auzen Xfi Prelude 7.1 soundcard running 5.1 optical out from my PC to my full sized Marantz receiver. The Marantz is outputting Dolby Headphone through the headphone jack to my Objective O2 headphone amp ...
 
I think I'm just too used to my Denon D2000s. Even though those are closed and the X1s are open, the Denon's have an "airier" sound, with better placement and bass. The X1 is still a good can, I just don't like it as much as the Denon. I'm talking strictly for gaming, not music, etc.
