Just wondering if this sound card will power these headphones like the need to be?

It will power them just fine with room to spare.
 
An alternative headphone: Sony MA900.

After your advice I have bought the MA900 headphones. http://www.sony.co.uk/product/home-entertainment-headphones/mdr-ma900/technical-specifications#tab Do you know what ohm.setting I need to run them at?

Believe they are only 12-Ohm, try lowest gain setting.
 
Per the Sony website
"Impedance (Ohm) 12 at 1kHz"

Try all of them and see what sounds best to you. Just keep the volume turned down as you cycle through them if you're wearing them so you don't blow your ear drums.
