Anyone else upgraded to firmware 1.51? :triportsad:

My se100 now constantly scans new media. Doesn't happen with the micro SD ejected, in that case it scans and then stops quickly. As soon as the sd card is inserted, it starts again.

The endless scanning makes it impossible to transfer files from my PC, to either internal or external media, and makes my PC freeze

I was SO happy with 1.41, I'm absolutely kicking myself now for upgrading.

I tried factory reset, and the problem keeps coming.

Tell me I'm crazy, that I'm doing something wrong? Please? Do I need a new sd card? Reformat?

We had two reports with the SP1000 also of the same issue. Many others who have had no issue. I will speak to our dev team tonight for us to narrow down the issue.

Phew! :L3000:

I gave my device a full 40min to rescan everything.
It seems to be back to normal now.

Omg I could have died

Dude your commitment to your job is outstanding.

If you replied once a month, that would still be so much more than A&K HQ gives out, we'd be appreciative.
It is extremely reassuring having you on Head-fi all the time.

New firmware was pulled for the SP2000, SP1000, SP1000M and SE100. They have found the issue that a few users were experiencing with media scanning after the update and will be releasing an updated firmware in the next few days. I should have more info late tonight.

Any update on the Kann CUBE firmware release date?
KANN CUBE firmware was due for release yesterday. I just noticed it was not. Let me find out. I know XAPK support was not going to make it into this firmware release for KANN CUBE or the SR15 and another update was coming mid-May to add that, so the dev team may have decided to just hold this month's update until XAPK support was ready. I will find out when our HQ team is back in the office Thursday morning.

Fwiw, the scanning continued, but always just for about 40 min, not indefinitely like it was doing the first night of the upgrade

I re-read my instructions, and was able to replace my removable media with a brand of microSD which doesn't "cause issues".
Also, it has 100gb less data on it, roughly..
Now, my scanning time is down to 5 minutes, not 45 minutes
So I'm pretty much sorted!
I've even tried using an XAPK just for fun, that is a nice touch, worked fine.

New firmware will be available within the next few hours.
Nice, thanks for the updates. But how to install the XAPK? just throwing the file on the folder as before is not working.

You need to download and install the XAPK Installer from APKPure first, then you can install XAPKs by using the XAPK Installer on your player.

Installed the 1.51 Firmware, had no issues
