Hi,

I bought the Se100 and realized it doesn't have Chinese language selection.

Would like to ask is it possible to have Chinese input (for song searching purpose)? For example, installing different keyboard?

Just download and install China firmware.

Shutdown unit then press+hold vol+ vol- power untill "A" logo displayed then release holding after 2s.
There is Menu display then.
You need a usb/card with firmware file content

But I can not find anywhere to download firmware. Hic hic!

I use my SE100 with a Samsung EVO Plus 512GB. Works perfectly.

1TB cards have been officially supported since the July 2019 firmware update.

I'm new to this particular forum but keen to get advice. I bought AK SE100 a couple of months ago and really like it, but have a couple of questions about how to connect it to Chord Hugo 2.

1. Does it do optical output? I have looked into this and there is conflicting information. My attempts to connect it optically to Hugo 2 using Toslink to Mini Optical cable, have so far met without success, and the AK dealer in Australia says it regretfully cannot. When I play a track and look at the end of the cable there is no light emitting.

2. Does it do USB output to an external DAC? I have tried a generic OTG cable from AK SE100 > H2 but again without success. When I go to USB Mode and try to select DAC Input, it will not allow me to tick this. I do find the switching confusing. Any advice on switching or the right cable to use?

The reason I am trying to connect it to H2 is that I think this might be a glorious combination. So far I can only do it via Bluetooth.

No optical output on the SE100

USB Mode is only for using SE100 as a USB DAC when connected to a computer. Once you connect, you want to press the External USB icon when you swipe down from the top. Once connected, it should say "USB Audio" under External USB Icon. You may need to press the External USB icon a second time after connecting in order to enable the USB out.
