So I spent some five hours listening to Futura last night and it totally blown me away. Love the super clear yet highly musical sound of it and UI is just pleasure to use (DX200 is a poor UI crap in comparison). The build quality is just second to none as well. Niceeeee!

right..the boxer by simon and Garfunkel.. soundstage not as wide as the mojo..on beyer t5p..not tried balanced yet to see weather its different.

Would I be able to connect SE100 to amplifier, i.e use the player just as a DAC and connect it to external amp?

Hey all. I'm able to share some more updates with you.
The SP1000M will be shown at the China AV show tomorrow (Friday) if anyone is attending, you will be able to test the new firmware for yourself.
More info may come out of our HQ in Korea later today. If it does, I will share in the morning here in the US.

- Offline modes are supported on apps installed via APK including Tidal, Amazon Music and Spotify here in the US. You can choose where to save offline files - internal memory or microSD card
- There are a number of other music services around the world that we've been testing with also. Full list will be available soon.
- No Apple Music Support. We will go into more details about this soon, I already mentioned the issue in a previous post
- New firmware will be available in October for SP1000 and SE100 - target date October 10th, but that may change
- SP1000M on sale October
- OpenAPK will not be supported on AK300 Series, AK240, AK70 and AK70 MK II. KANN TBD

Can the SE100 or any AK DAP connect to local NAS servers via home/work network? I really like that Hiby has the ability to do this.
Yes. All AK players have DLNA networking support and can connect to NAS or other DLNA compatible devices. On our players it is called AK Connect.
After quick research I also found the answer. Thank you for the quick reply!

I had the SE100 for trial and just was not that impressed and returned it. Those that compared it to the SP1000 told me the SP1000 was a fairly small step up, so I did not bother with the SP1000. Recently, I wanted to check out the Hugo 2. My local Gramophone told me they had it, but it turned out it was out of stock. So they put in an order for me. The store carried the SP1000. I did not give it a listen, but the sales guy told me it does not hold a candle to the Hugo 2. According to him, the SP1000 is great for its size (for those with deep pockets), but there is only so much one can do in such a compact size.
