I have not received any feedback on what people feel are the differences between 1.19 and 1.21. I am eagerly awaiting some posts myself to see what people have to say.
I asked you about resolving feedback from 1.19 users.

Noted with the many, many, many posts on this thread and many PMs to me. All have been shared with our team.

I understand the resistance against disabling the screen swipe volume thing as it nullifies what A&K engineers might consider "feature", but the volume warning pop up in 1.21 is still inadequate for protection, as that warning only appear once, and you get somewhere above 70 in volume (which most of us do with our hard to drive stuffs), you have to dismiss the popup and then lose that protection (so the range 70ish-150, more than half the volume range, is still danger zone). I insist that I still need the option to disable that swipe volume thing altogether. Nevertheless, thank you for listening to us.

Also, I'm trying to install SoundCloud xapk, but it doesn't seem that my SP2000 is reading the xapk file in the OpenService folder. Is there any special instruction to install xapk?

no offense, Jason, but i only saw the guys over there who had problems with media scannin and playlists. I only said that i will wait with my update, maybe guys in this thread will report that there are no issues with SP2K and FW 1.21 and i´m fine with that.
Yes I will not encourage someone to update, because it seems to bring new problems, I mean problems I had never experimented before. if you don't use playlist files you can go on with the new firmware, but if I use playlist files, better not to update, unless you're ready to rebuild your playlists files one by one.

i have the same issu with scanning media content : on my SP2000cu and SP1000ss
I'm uploading two video to show how long it take each times I restart my DAPs to scan the media.
SP2000 : 1TB scandisk micro-card (Fat32). all the music on the the micro SD card - 70% full. no music in the internal memory, except my playlist files.
SP1000 : 400 GB scandisk (fat32). Music in the micro sd card and also in the internal memory with playlist files.
I know if I do factory reset, It will work, but I will lose all my playlist files, but I don't want to lose my playlist files. Also because nowhere in the firmware instruction it is said that we should do a factory reset after the firmware update. I will wait for a next firmware with the playlist issues correction.

New firmware was pulled for the SP2000, SP1000, SP1000M and SE100. They have found the issue that a few users were experiencing after the update with media scanning and will be releasing an updated firmware in the next few days. I should have more info late tonight.

I updated to 1.21. I don't use playlists and thus have had no technical issues but I wanted to report that most importantly to me the sound quality is happily back to where it was pre- 1.19. I've put in about 5 hours so far and can happily say I've had more than a few "oh wow" moments once again. 98% of my listening is 24bit FLAC dowloads for those who care.
