As I was thinking about this exact idea I noticed your post! Hopefully Sony will release something good this year.I hope Sony will soon launch a new portable DAP to challenge this SP2000... DMP-Z1 is too bulky - can't consider it as portable..
Don't mind if its next yearAs I was thinking about this exact idea I noticed your post! Hopefully Sony will release something good this year.
You must be really patient then! It's already been about 3 years since Sony released their last flagship so that's why I'm hoping for something to release for 2019, not to mention it's also the original Walkman's 40th anniversary.Don't mind if its next year
I'm sure they will come up with something soon, even more sure I'll be buying it, but I've gone all the way with spending lately and am super happy with LPGT,Solaris,LX,1000M, really pointless spending more for small differences. You must be really patient then! lol this has been discussed, sorta beaten to death. search is your friend. Will AK ever evolve to 4.4?

Everything has its trade of.To me AK SP2000 looks very nice - beautiful curvy design.. Specs look great eg. DSD 512/22.56, etc.. Internal memory 512GB is ok but new bigger microSD cards can cover for that...The only 2 problems - 1) there is no 4.4mm balanced port & 2) 8 hours battery life is terrible considering WM1Z can last for like 30 hours...
I think you can compare SP1000 vs WM1Z yourself It is avaiable on the market for long.Mm....only interested in how it performs SQ-wise.......vs. Wm1z, dmp z1, sp1k..etc.
It how it sounds, stupid!
