Am I deaf, or are the differences between filters incredibly subtle? For those of you who can hear a big difference, what exactly should I be listening for?

I agree with you. Is there any track suggestion to hear remarkable changes between dac filters? Otherwise, I should give up to spend money for high end equipments.

I've felt the same about sony new DSP engine on the walkmans after 2016. No matter what I try on my wm1A , other than EQ, there is no big difference

I barely note even a change when i am on my Prophile 8. On the Susvara, i hear just slightly more, the difference between the attack of the notes being one, but it's so slight to be insignificant.

same situation for me with my prophile 8 i can barely hear a difference...

The diference with the ierz1r is subtil but audible, is like any other dap, the diference between filters is not drastic, with M15 is the same thing

May as well request A&K to stop confusing people, and just take away “digital filters options” instead. It had been always sounded good anyways. Kidding aside, it is subtle, even in Sony DMP Z1, these options are still subtle, but it definitely is there. Having options is always good, and it took a long while for A&K to implement it

Hey, I've only just noticed the ability to use the AlbumArtist tag instead of Artist when viewing as 'Artist' from the main menu. How long has it been there for? Cool anyway. It's a pain sometimes to see every single artist on a compilation as a separate Artist and I have a lot of compilations!

I can still browse and play my tracks via "Folder" from the menu with the latest firmware.
