This is a list of all the supported apps and versions tested by the AK development team with each player model. These are minimum app versions that should work without issue. Newer versions may work and the list will be updated as newer app versions are tested.
Had the same issue with the 4.4mm socket. So it’s gone back to AK. Yes, less than a year. Disappointing. Guess AK is losing the plot insofar as QC is concerned. Together with its inflexibility even as a flawed android device, the Chinese DAPs have mostly overtaken it both in terms of SQ and UI/UX. Pity.
Agreed. AK stood at the top of the DAP heap after releasing the AK240, and every flagship model they released since has taken its place. But the competition is getting fierce.

I doubt of this, as they are clearly overrated, made with obsolete hardware, very old version of android, limited functionalities, almost no advanced PEQ, not well finished and getting worn edges in a really short time, even the top of the Kann Alpha is not clipped, but just fixed with some glue or double side tape, and of course totally overpriced for this build quality and level of software.
I was really candid to imagine that with obsolete hardware and software, I could get a top of the DAP.
In the future, I will clearly be more careful with hardware conf and never go for such obsolete DAP like A&K.
I still own the Kann Alpha, but now I now that at least ibasso, Fiio, Hiby and Sony are all far more advanced players (hardware, functionalities and SQ)... And, as I still own 4 of them, some are more convenient (M11, R6pro), and some even better sound quality (WM1A + BX2+)... the only positive feature is the more or less 7 to 10V available at 42ohms (of course far from the 12V as indicated by A&K for candid buyers like me)

How does one delete a song off the players sdcard? Seems you can only delete from a playlist and not the actual song file. Also any way to display the albums year while its playing? Amazing player but the UI is so slow and has no options... New to AK so still learning.
I'm new to AK and just got the Alpha. It skips couple songs from one of my album says "unplayable...". I go back to folder and click on those songs then the player freeze. I have to restart the Alpha. I format microSD card in player, copy songs again, same problem, copy songs to internal storage same problem. Those songs play fine with my X5 III. I connect Alpha to my PC as DAC playing with foolbar OK. I don't know how many more songs from my collection will "unplayable" by Alpha yet.
