This does look interesting. I was holding out for a hopeful future SR 35 or something as such but perhaps this will do---Astell and Kern has really been busy as of late.

This is like ...the death of 2.5mm. The Inventor of 2.5mm moving to 4.4mm......... OK i may be exxagerating a bit but I think it does signal the phasing out of 2.5mm balance out
Is not dead, it has the two, 2.5mm and 4.4mm,i love the philosophic conclusions in this forum....
Now they just need an EQ/PEQ thats does more than look pretty

Yes! Slow but steady! At last they are doing digital filters and 4.4mm. Hopefully Neutron will follow suit soon enoughNow they just need a EQ/PEQ thats does more than look pretty

I wonder if the sound signature of the Alpha will be as good as or better than the Cube. What I liked about the Cube was how crisp and clear it was.

I'd get this if only to support AK for going 4.4 lol - big win. Are you planning on implementing it on future models as well?
probably not yet, the Kann line up seems to be their experimental line

A&K, 4 4mm? I am still sleeping or is it real? I said to my self... cool. It was only a matter of natural course of life, many DAP Manufacturers were already adapting 4.4.

It's even worse: This signals the death of both 3.5mm jacks and XLR connectors. I'm going to have a trash a pile of stuff now ...
i think the SE200 has it too ? but not sureis this the 1st DAP with a ES9068AS or are there already opinions about it (based on experience)?
