@JasonNYC or anyone with the experience, can you please tell me if offline apple music files are stored in the apple music app available in the Kann Max? Or can that app only be used for only streaming, which means offline or downloaded music is not possible on the Kann Max?

I currently use an AK100 II (love it!) and had the chance to listen to the Kann Max and it just blew my mind with the clarity!

Have any tested or own the Astell & Kern Kann Max and the Astell & Kern PA10 balanced class-A headphones amplifier?
- Has the sound improved on PA10 with Kann Max?
- A&K PA10 sounds much quieter than Kann Max on a balanced 4.4 mm output?
- does it make sense with the total price of 2 devices , and isn't it better to think about the A&K SE300?

Offline mode is supported. You can also choose where to store offline files in the app itself, either internal memory or microSD card. Please note that any offline music must be played back in the app and cannot be played back in the main music player due to DRM policies.

Ok, that is great to hear. That means it works just like a regular android player.

My concern was about support for these streaming apps with android versions and for offline music support. The music is just in another league.

As of now, there are no current plans to update the KANN MAX to the new UI found on the SR35/SE300/SP3000. That may change in the future, but as of now, it will not get the new UI update.

Is related to a limitation of the KANN max hardware ? Or it is just a marketing choice ?

It is absolutely fine. The AK connect app is a cool feature to link to your phone and your phone basically controls the playback library. I must confess though. I use mostly micro SD cards and fully downloaded music files. Not a streamer to the likes of Tidal etc.
