I updated it. It happened without problems. Installed, restarted by itself. General bug fixes. It also handles sd cards above 1TB. Looks like Tidal stayed on 1.2. (unfortunately offline / MQA is not included) But first they deal with it ...

I just upgraded my personal KANN also. No issues. I reached out to our dev team and let them know some users were having issues. When our US support team gets into the office, I will have them run the update on multiple KANN units and see if they can replicate and troubleshoot the issue others are having.

I went ahead and took the chance on the upgrade as the help for 1tb cards would be appreciated. The down load froze at 38% and would not continue. Rather than fiddle around with it I pressed the cancel button and everything stopped and stayed on the current 1.12 firmware. So...

Hi guys. I'm new here. Unfortunately my first post is related to the same problem. I also have issues updating my KANN. I emailed to Astell & Kern and I don't have any answer yet. I also contact to the authorized dealer in my country and they told me that they will check the problem and try to solve it. I hope they do!!. I'll let you know if I have a quick solution!!

I'm taking the wait and see position. It would be nice if the KANN would play nice with the 1 tb cards but it's easy to work around for now, only a slight p.i.t.a.

As I don't have any plans to use 1TB I think I will pass on this firmware and won't put mine at risk.

I couldn't help myself, tried the update again. This time it went without a hitch. Unfortunately it did NOT fix all the issues with 1 tb cards, some but not all. I can now read the card from my computer but I cannot load to it without removing from the KANN. Not that big of a deal except for waiting for the DAP to re-scan the whole library on the first boot. Like I said, a minor p.i.t.a.

Btw, I have no problem at all writing to the 512gb micro card.

I was just discussing this issue with our head of US support. Those that successfully applied the firmware, did you have SD cards in the player? We updated 2 KANNs without issue, but realize both did not have SD or microSD cards in them. Those of you with the spinning "A", if you do have cards in them, could you try removing them and then restart? The update changes the way the player scans cards, especially larger capacity cards and speeds up indexing. We are thinking the hangup may be on initial startup and once it starts and the card is reinserted, it may work. Will will do further testing here and are also waiting for some more info from our dev team as it is the middle of the night in Korea.

Also, anyone in North America who is experiencing the issue with the spinning "A" after installing the new firmware, our North America support team asked if you could please email our support email so we can log your issue in our support system and reach out once we have a solution. For other countries, I will need to wait and see what our global support team suggests.

I had both a 1tb SD card and a 512gb micro sd card in the player while doing the update. No real problem the second time but the first time it froze up at like 38% downloaded (20 mb). FYI, I can read the 1 tb card now from my computer connected usb cable but cannot write to the 1 tb card.

I'm pretty sure I formatted it in the KANN before I loaded to it. I'll try and check it.
