What does 'organic sound' mean? How do you describe it? Not sure I understand that part.

I owned both at the same time and the SP1000m is noticeably more detailed than the Cube. They do trade blows however and although the SP1000m has better detail retrieval it also felt more two dimensional to me. The Cube had a ‘fuller’ sound with a better foundation and more three-dimensionality. To put it as simple as I can, the SP1000m was more analytical and the cube is more organic.

Weightier, transients were slightly faster than what naturally occurs on the SP100m... clarity seemed slightly artificially boosted on the SP1000m like they were being pushed forward and a little more in your face. Quite difficult to explain.

Anyone who knows anything about audio knows that it means AK hasn’t sprayed the Cube with pesticides. I’m literally talking to a bunch of noooobs
Oh. Is “dsd512” a pesticide code number?
Does that also mean the kannn cube also has no artificial colour or just the right amount?

I just purchased the Kann Cube. A question about which charger I can use. The manual says to avoid a 12v charger.

My Aukey charger has the following specs, can I use it? :

Input: AC 100V–240V

Output: DC 3.6V–6.5V 3A, 6.5V–9V 2A, 9V–12V 1.5A

Thanks in advance.

I've spent several hours going back and forth between sp1000m and Kann Cube and I agree with you.

The sp1000m sounds more sparkly in the high end. But for the genre of music I listen to the most, the Kann Cube presents me with a more enjoyable listen. I prefer the weighty sound of the Kann Cube just a bit more.

Both are excellent sounding players. I'll keep the Kann. 🙂

My KC is connected always 12V power supply and used as usb dac about a year past.
Aukey charger is no problem for KC.

Lowest (1st) gain setting for my Hifiman Hekse, and the highest (3rd) for my Audeze LCD-4.

@JasonNYC, regarding using the MKII Ripper with the Cube -- Is there a way to add meta data for cd's not found on Gracenote? Should I just connect to the computer and change the file name in Android File Transfer? Is there another software I could use? Thanks in advance, Chris

Edit - I tried changing the file names on the computer but it did not take it seems - I am ripping to flac and connecting to a Mac
