Astell&Kern can replace the ak380 battery, but I think the amp battery are no longer available. If your in the US, just drop them an email - it’s @ $70.
thanks!
Your regional AK repair center would be able to replace it. Here in the US it is about $60USD to replace the AK380 battery. Nor sure about the amp battery. The price will vary slightly depending on region.
I don't know who is the main dealer in my country for now, i'm currently in indonesia. might try contacting some old friends.

Has anyone here used the ak380 recording kit + mic?

It is the 2500 USD kit.

Is the recording quality from it any good?
Ya . I use the rec kit all the time . Mostly for audience mics at show where I am capturing multitrack feeds from the console. I dont have the DPA mics just the record cradle. DPA are wonderful sounding mics so I'm sure they sound superb.

So my AK320 stopped reading files off the SD card (Samsung 256) properly. I figured it was just an SD card gone bad, so I purchased a new Sandisk 256gb (formatted to FAT32) and a Sandisk 512gb, all of them say "Damaged SD Card" when inserted. Anyone deal with this before? Seems like it doesn't want to read ANY SD card anymore.

Did you try formatting the SD card inside the AK380?

Does anybody knows if there are spare parts available?
I need/want a screw from the back of my amp. The tread of it is bad. Is this still for sale or is there a better solution to keep the 380 and the amp together.
I’m sure I’m not the only one with this problem.

Possibly; I was able to get the amp replaced because it was faulty about a year or two ago. I'd contact the dealer that sold you the unit, or Astell & Kern directly.

It's July 2023, can AK still do battery replacement on AK380?

How do you contact AK about battery replacement on AK380?

astellnkern@astellnkern.com ???

I'm in North Carolina, Raleigh area.

I'll also call Moon Audio in Cary tomorrow, and see what they say.

there are a couple of tiny screws, then a normal suction cup takes the back off - the battery just unplugs - I struggled to find the correct battery for my AK380 and ended up sending it off to AK repair in Germany as it had another issue (was pretty cheap) - they told me they could replace 380 batteries but not amp battery as it was no longer manufactured, though someone on here says it's the same battery, so who knows...

Anyone (successfully) replaced with aftermarket AK380 battery?

If AK380 is going to be powered through USB through its cradle (and always powered off before removing from cradle), then does it still need internal battery for any purpose?

Yes and yes.

380 battery need to unscrew a few screws. Not as hard as it looks.

Make sure you buy a battery that is the same size as the original. Do not buy one that is smaller. They will advertise the smaller one with higher watts. It's not true. The smaller ones will run out faster.

Any recommendation on a particular aftermarket battery? If you remember which one you bought?

380 battery need to unscrew few screws? What do you mean?

Is the battery held down with screws?

Just buy from ebay. There isn't a particular brand. Just ask seller for the dimensions of the day battery.

Yes the 380 battery is kept in by a few screws. You need to unscrew then to remove the circuit board to connect the battery. Otherwise you cannot reach the hole to connect the battery.
