I updated to the newest Roon Arc. Will there ever be an update where it bypasses the Android 48khz resample rate? Also, if you are using DAR, which upsamples to DSD 256 or PCM 352/384 does it really matter?

This is a limitation of the Roon Arc app. Roon is working on making the app bit-perfect with DAPs, but currently no ETA on when it will be released.

Will Roon Remote ever be integrated with Roon Ready devices? This defeats the purpose of it being portable, does it not? Although I do understand it's not solely designed for DAP.

I have mentioned this a few times to the Roon Partner team. Not sure it will happen as Roon Arc is currently the focus for portable devices.

It’s subtle. And could just as easily be influenced by your choice of headphone/IEM. If you have the 3k, it’s the superior device in many aspects.

I prefer using no DSP … except the Audeze presets if I was relaxing/working as opposed to critical listening.

Roon is quite capable DSP and so I tend to use Roon

I find DAR DSD sounds better than PCM. More resolution, bigger sound stage.

I think it really depends on what your music is like. I prefer PCM cos I listen to more vocals.

I used to prefer HQPlayer too on my desktop stack but how would you use it on Sp3k without an according NAA Client?

No worries, I am still finding your suggestion interesting.
Am currently on vacation but once I am back I will test my Ifi Zen Stream with NAA agent into Sp3k.
Only issue with Sp3k in DAC mode is the ground loop noise issue.
I remediated that setting USB to Audio without charging but don't remember if that was on Cayin N7 or Sp3k...

When you connect to a wifi access point where you need to log in or accept terms like wifi in a hotel, a message appears in the notification bar. If you click on the notification, it opens a window to connect.

Old post of yours, but I’m new to the A&K family and I’m having trouble getting this to work. I am trying to access a WIFI network that requires a name and password after connect. My Dap connects but there is no message in the drop down notification bar, as you describe in your post. Any suggestions?

Also, I see in the manual that “networks requiring browser support or other additional certifications are not supported.”

Does this contradict the streaming solution (for hotel type logins) that you provide? Can you provide clarity on this issue? Thanks.

If the wifi access point directs you to a login page after you xonnext, you should get the notification in the notification bar. If you have to manually go to a separate page in a browser you enter user name and password, then it would not work.

I was wondering: if the Aura iem was made to fully convey the sound of the SP3000, then why does the sp3000 need a dedicated Aura EQ setting?
Also, does anyone know what that EQ setting does specifically?
