Much better than with the original case (I have the light brown variant). The middle button stands out and is easy to feel and so all buttons can be operated without looking at them.

I’ve finally started to use my CD ripper and I love the way the SP3000 makes the album cover look just like a CD. So far the file management of the music feels straight forward, but I think my timing may coincide with the improvements from the recent firmware update.

A new firmware version is published: update version 1.18. The previous one was the 1.17.

It now takes 28 seconds to restart (for people focused on this constraint ).

Issue with the last firmware version
My DS Card was failing due to its use under SP3000. Impossible to recognize the SD CARD it in the SP3000 after the last 1.17 firmware update. It also caused regular restarts.
It seems that the data integrity has been corrupted after using SP3000 with this SD Card. Who is responsible for this failure : AK SP3000 OS, AK Firmware 1.17, SD card microchip or Qobuz storage management ??? I don't know.

And I finally found easy solution for my 1TB SD card.

Solution
So I have under Windows (I did not find the option in my MACBOOK) launched a repair function. Here is the procedure:
1. Right click on the SD card icon to ask for the properties
2. In the properties popup, on the "Tools" tab launch the repair action.

And there you go, everything is back well on my SP3000.
- No several restarts,
- The SD card is now recognized after the repair under Windows.

Only 1.17.

Very happy with the quicker startup time!

Here's one UI suggestion for a future update. Whenever I'm switching between my on-device library to the streaming apps, and I push the bottom left icon for the apps, it always takes me to the app selection screen. Would it not make more sense for it to take you back to the last app that was open (if you already had an app that was open)?

1.18 available and installed- prompt came up on the device itself. Only visible difference is the much shorter boot-up time.
