no. I haven't seen the new box design yet, but was told at CanJam SoCal that the wooden box would no longer be offered.@JasonNYC, AK is no longer offering the wood box?

For $3700 hopefully there will be a premium presentation. It shouldn’t be meh.no. I haven't seen the new box design yet, but was told at CanJam SoCal that the wooden box would no longer be offered.
Regarding the output, that would make sense and hold true to the SP2K. If you are a HP person, with difficult to drive headphones, it may not be the DAP for you. The difference between volume and authority become clear with the AK. As an example, the N8ii will have more authority, you will have to go to high volume on the AK, which is not the same. If this model holds true, the experience on IEM's and hp's that don't require authority should be top-tier. I know I alluded to this in a previous post, your comments confirm that.
I live in South Korea.
I preordered my SP3K at the SP3K showcase held last Saturday at a place near A&K HQ.
AFAIK, all the preorders that were placed at the showcase were shipped to customers yesterday.
This is my second A&K DAP in a long time, since AK100 that was released almost 10 years ago.
And I haven't heard other TOTL DAPs or SP2K, other than Fiio M17. So I can't give you accurate or helpful comments.
When compared to M17 or Holo Spring 3 KTE, higher resolution, holographic imaging, blacker background, smoother treble and deeper subbass is prominent on SP3K. The tonality of SP3K is very well tuned and refined in my opinion. However, I think that to achieve the same level of sufficient loudness on the Susvara, SP3K should be at 90% of its max volume, whereas M17 at 80%, and Enleum 23R at 50%.
The wooden box included in SP2K is no longer in SP3K. Just a bunch of paper boxes and sponges in the package. Two sets of protective films are included.
And the included green leather case feels good in the hands and looks great too.
Dude, I guess so. I pre-ordered fully knowing what to expect and I am sure given my knowledge of AK and reasonable driving expectations I will be happy AF, or I wouldn't have ordered it.Are people really expecting an SP3000, or just about any pocketable DAP, to drive a Susvara?
I was told when you open the box, the SP3000 is supposed to rise out of the box, like it is being presented to you. I have not seen it in person. Is that the case? Some unboxing pictures for those interested

Nice...obviously not the unboxing experience of past releases. I remember folks bashing the Trailli unboxing, and then they heard it.Some unboxing pictures for those interested
Yes. Just like a pop-up book. When you bend open the outer box, the inner box with the SP3000 pops out.I was told when you open the box, the SP3000 is supposed to rise out of the box, like it is being presented to you. I have not seen it in person. Is that the case?
I bought SP3K for use with 64audio U12t and easily drivable cans like Grado 325X.Regarding the output, that would make sense and hold true to the SP2K. If you are a HP person, with difficult to drive headphones, it may not be the DAP for you. The difference between volume and authority become clear with the AK.
