This sounds like the same deal with the SP1000 and SP1000M, I've owned both of them at different points of time.

Interesting, so there will be a smaller and cheaper SP3000 coming out soon.....

For those of you that have owned the SP3000 for several month to a over a year, have you ever been disappointed with the battery life in the SP3000?
Is the battery life worse than the SP2000? Battery life was a common complaint of the SP3000 in many video reviews I have watched.



What IEM pairings would you recommend with the SP3000?

Annihilator 2023? U12T?

I have no complain with the battery and using annihilator 2023

Anyone have any guess when the SP3000M will release?

Does anyone have data on when iRiver had the FFC ID Patent for the SP1000M, like when it was submitted? We can then take into account when the SP1000M actually released, this might give us an idea on when the SP3000M might release

Tidal HiRez LED indicator report.... I was using AK Connect and the JPlay for IOS app in Tidal mode. I searched a HiRez track (48khz 24b) and with playback the LED illuminated green. I then turned off AK Connect and used the side loaded Tidal app (2.122.0) and brought up the same track. Tidal showed it as Max (48lhz 24b) but the LED now illuminated red. In built Tidal app showed HiFi and indicated red. It would appear AK needs to pursue this as Jplay and roon seems to have the correct API interfacing.

Would you guys say that the SP3000 is also suitable for electronic music? Or does it have slightly slower transients that benefit acoustic type music more?

Slightly slower than what if I might ask? I really don’t understand your question.

He maybe\probably intends uncompressed and very transparent transients .. Which makes it easier or easy to 'look' or appreciate 'minutes' or micros of parts with sp3000..

My answer would be yes.. but fast electronic will sound fast..

Yes I mean Macro/Micro, sorry for the confusion.

Good to hear that EDM and other forms of electronic won't sound "too slow" with the SP3000. Most IEMs don't have that problem it seems only the DAP source does. I was worried that the SP3000 might have too much decay that would throw off the transient speed needed for electronic music.

Anybody else having a problem with the SP3000's DAR light showing the wrong color? @Jason After downloading the newest firmware the DAR light sometimes shows pink when it should be blue.. If you turn DAR off then on again it goes back to continuous blue like it should be. By the next song it sometimes turns back to pink again This is happening while playing my Qobuz favorites list. Haven't tried anything else yet.

I’ve noticed the purple light on at incorrect times since the update.

Rarely post in this forum, but a keen user of the AKSP3K. I have been countless rabbit holes, Mojo2, Dave with power upgrade etc… just wanted to share the two amazing life-changing tweaks I encountered with the AK : 1) PGGB remastero and upsampling offline to DSD512, to exploit the direct DSD pipeline of the AK, absolutely transcendent experience, you can try a free license to experiment (I dare say way beyond Chord Dave in PCM mode, arguably you could use the Dave in DSD+ mode, never tried), 2) use an external amp, even for iem, it reduces largely the onboard RF and noise, and filter the RCA output with the Audiowise SE RF-stop, it uses well tested skin effects to damp RF propagation back to the DAC. The effect is akin to diving back into the music and that mostly so far you’d just have been doing guess work as to the spatial cues. Both may be expensive (in the 1k territory), but the kind of addition that you’ll never regret and got me excited enough to share here. No affiliation of vested interest, just a happy camper with the AK for a minimal system that can really compete with anything out there, desktop rigs included.
As a headphone amp I use the Enleum 23RM, so you can play fully off main powers, that helps with signal integrity. Hope that may help!
