Yes, you can play and charge at the same time. They player will turn off charging when the battery reaches 100% to prevent any damage to the battery. It will periodically top off the charge when it drops below 100%@JasonNYC can I charge the SP3K and play music at the same time? I’m thinking here about letting it run for a few days (aka burn in )

Straight out of the box the sound is pleasing to the ear. There is a kind of 3D type of feel to it. One of the included tracks was orchestral and I could hear the instruments positioned in various places around the stage. It was very impressive. Seems to have a very black background. Probably the best bb I’ve heard. Stage seems wide and good positioning of things on it. Early days though and more testing to do.
Ok, it’s going on to burn for a bit and I’ll see how the sound changes over time.

How do you like the black finish? I preordered the silver version and it looks like we have to wait longer. A&K sorta blew it by not having both variants available at the same time. However, what I find strange is the US dealers are doing YouTube videos with the silver version. @JasonNYC how is this possible if they’re not available yet? Customers should come first.Unboxing of the SP3K

Along with the attributes you listed is there warmth and good rounded bass? Thanks for sharing your thoughts.Straight out of the box the sound is pleasing to the ear. The finish is lovely. It has a kind of shiny mirror effect on the back. Very smooth though to the point I’m a bit scared of it slipping through my fingers I’ve put the case on now though and that calms me down The case is good quality too.How do you like the black finish? There might be something contractual where US sellers can’t release them until I think 17th Oct. This doesn’t seem to be the case though in Europe hence people are starting to get them.

@JasonNYC, I will not bother you with this again but can you explain to me/us why and how did A&K mess up the deployment with the silver finish? They should have anticipated the demand. Can you tell us how long or what the estimated wait will be for the silver color? We just want our devices. We have 1 silver unit in the US that was being used for demos at CanJam SoCal that is being passed around to dealers for testing.
Yes there is, I mentioned that in a previous post. Same thing as street date on video game releases, in the US. Happens with many releases and agreements. The finish is lovely. Currently expecting to have all silver pre-orders shipping by 11/4, but may be sooner. Hopefully will have a better idea by the end of next week.@JasonNYC, I will not bother you with this again but can you explain to me/us why and how did A&K mess up the deployment with the silver finish? For the North America market, we build in about a week to allow all dealers to get their stock and give all customers the opportunity to receive their devices at the same time. Other regions do not require their dealers to hold stock until everyone in the region has them in hand, they are allow to release as soon as they come in.There might be something contractual where US sellers can’t release them until I think 17th Oct.

Can you please provide the source of this? Is there an English version? Thanks!SP3000 PVD
Yes I would say there is some warmth to the sound. I’m not sure about the feel of the bass yet. I want to see if it changes with over the burn process.Along with the attributes you listed is there warmth and good rounded bass? Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
I have managed to listen to SP3000 with Viking Ragnar and Kr5 mainly and with both combinations I very much like what I hear. The differences when compared to SP2000 besides design the great UI are a general increase in resolution, improved spatial resolution, separation. I got the impression that there is more space between the individual instruments. I like the clear sound, the dark black background, the improved definition in bass/sub-bass. And SP3000 allows for an airy and clear sound in the highs (in case the iem can deliver; both, Ragnar and KR5 could).
