I tested 4 times SP2000T with Mest Mk2 and Andromeda - hiss and buzz from tube online in hybrid and tube.mode. After last update there is better - in offline mode hissing is very low. On SP2000Cu - black background, dead silent in offline and online mode.

I also found 2kT has audible hiss with sensitive IEMs, like AK Pathfinder and VE Phönix. Sony 1ZM2 has pitch black background on both IEMs.

WiFi is off. I think the noise level is not low enough for the sensitive IEMs.

I use IE600 is fine though. I guess copper version doesn't have much improvement on the noise?

I think Pathfinder and Phönix are more sensitive than IE600 due to low impedance and high SPL.

And yes, Copper Nickel version uses exactly the same internals as the regular model. So there is no improvement in the noise floor (or any other technical specs).

Firmware updates are done over wifi. If you are connected to wifi and there is a firmware update, a message will appear on screen alerting you to an available update.
