I had W6.2 last year, and yes is warmer and bodied on mids compare to EXT, also high arent forward as EXT
I think you catched how W6.2 sounds, thunder is warm too but far better than W6.2 in every aspects.
If you can... go with Thunder
I sold both last year but are totally different.
W6.2 has punchier/faster bass and less sub bass, mids are better, highs aren’t shiny as Mest MK2 but I kept w6.2 1 month and I sold it unburned to get Thunder. @Vaiet wrote more on W6.2, take a look some pages back

Wondering what other A100TB users have decided on for their favorite Op Amps? I currently have the Burson V5i in the output, and am waiting on the OPA1612 which should arrive Wednesday. I feel the V5i is amazing, but perhaps a little intense, I will try it out on the input to see if I like it better. Is there anything else I should try? Favorite combinations you have found?

They are both wonderful pairings, each with their own unique flavors. The N8ii is very clean and clear, with a large stage. More on the analytical side, can come off as slightly cold sometimes.
The AE is another beast altogether, and this is what I prefer. It takes the in your face technicality down a tad, thought it is not lacking in technicality at all, and instead gives you immense musicality. It's warmer, has bigger midbass and thump compared to the subbass leaning N8ii. The texture and refinement are off the charts, this is where the AE moves ahead on the N8ii for me. Vocals are to die for, I've never enjoyed them more than on the AE. If you want a thunderous presentation, the AE is your choice. It's so dynamic, crazy powerful, the sense of headroom makes for a very inspiring listen. It's not like the N8ii is lacking in any of these areas, but the AE is simply better at them.
At the end of the day either is a good choice, they both accentuate the jewels immense abilities. One is more musical, one is more analytical. One is like a CD, the other like a vintage console. It depends on how you want your music presented.
Ladies and Jellyspoons, my full review of the Aroma A100TB has arrived! You can read it here. Grab a snack, or a beer and take a read. I hope you enjoy!
Big thanks to @MusicTeck for asking me to review this glorious piece of kit
