Here is what I chose:
So when you pick your shell and faceplates, the shell is just the color and transparency correct? The plate design is going to be for the entire IEM. For example if you pick Foil, the entire body and plate will have that design. Or can you have completely different body and faceplate.
Check out musicteck's page for the Jewel for all the optionsSo when you pick your shell and faceplates, the shell is just the color and transparency correct? but as far as I'm aware your faceplate choice and your shell choice can be different.

Sounds good. I made the payment and shipped out my ear mold to Music Teck today. I'll have some time to decide on the face plate now the wait.Check out musicteck's page for the Jewel for all the options

You can also give Aroma a shout via messenger / Facebook and ask them for photos of different colours / designs they've done already. You'll get a more realistic visualisation of what they'll look like.Sounds good. I made the payment and shipped out my ear mold to Music Teck today. This is a sweet look. These are straight off their Facebook page. Blue for the left ear. I liked those red as well....This is a sweet look. These are straight off their Facebook page. Blue for the left ear. Red for the right ear.
Honestly, you'll have zero trouble distinguishing left from right with a custom, I thought about blue / red as well but you'll never get them mixed up. They even print the text on the inner side of the shell in red and blue for left / right. I'll go get a pic....

With my current set of CIEMs, having blue and red helps in dim light situations. I listen to them before bedtime, so it's nice. I'm also used to it so keeping it consistent. I agree you that you don't need different color just for orientation purposes.I liked those red as well....

Anyone compare the ALO CDM to Aromas amp? I'm currently running Hugo2 and sometimes Hugo2 + CDM (amp only).
A curiosity (for those who have listened to both), but between ACE and JEWEL to intuition, I think that ACE is more neutral than Jewel. I err ???

I wouldn’t say so.
What type of sound are you looking for and what sonic characteristics are most important?
They’re both relatively neutral, insofar as neither is too heavy with any one part of the fr.

Let's say that I like Traillii in general because it satisfies me and plays well with every musical genre and with the two daps I have (LPGT Ti and LP6 Ti). Just wanting to look for something that meets my musical tastes, having Traillii as a base, I say that I would like a sound in general a little more lively (I find Traillii pleasant but with little impact and with little "aggression"). I would like the voice moved a little further (I find Traillii's voice slightly backward). I would like a generally clearer sound, but just slightly clearer (I find Traillii with a very light veil in front).I wouldn’t say so.

New Thunder owner here. Bought blind and I'm still deciding whether these are the all-rounder set for me. Been burning in for 70 hours or so now and I'm finding them opening up a bit more now, or maybe its brain burn in. Been using with a drjuggles cable, predominately through Sony WM1AM2, and been tip rolling quite a bit too!
I was looking for something that would take the warmer tone of my Sony M9 and add a bit more resolution, treble quality and staging (and DD bass). Which I'm finding Thunder does a pretty good job at providing what I'm looking for but I guess I'm still learning about what exactly Thunder does.
Early pros: DD is fast enough for metal/rock music. Bass is punchy and has good definition and texture (without being spectacular?). Staging/instrument separation is good or above average. Resolution is very good for the price (I'd say a step up for M9, but hard to quantify). Replays music in a natural way and as it was recorded, laid back music will sound laid back, aggressive music will have recorded aggression (perhaps a con sometimes?). Vocals are great and clear, and mids are very well represented (in line with both bass and treble)
Potential early cons: Totally subjective on my part here (and influenced by my personal preference). I feel Thunder has a touch of warmth instead of an overtly warm/luscious tone that I normally desire. Feel like these will be decent all-rounders, but perhaps don't have the magic of a specialist set (me being harsh)? Maybe a bit too laid back at times also, but wouldn't say leaning on the boring side (would I?).
What I'd like from further burn in? (if such a thing exists): Things to open up a tad more? Will the DD evolve and change the bass response further? Will treble become more refined? Not to say these are problems now but good to see these general improvements hopefully?!.
Do I feel these are worth more than twice the price of the M9? No. Not yet at least. We'll see. Slight (but noticeably) different flavours too.

The bass texture alone on jewel is a nice change from traillii’s ba bass. Though I must say, I still think traillii has my favorite ba bass - I’d put it above both ace and um mentor.
Could you tell me in your opinion, what are the listening differences between these 3 ems. And for your taste, which do you prefer?I think jewel would impress you.
