Yes, that's the stock cable that came with Fir E12 a silver cable with copper plated. Already very good cable & no intention to change it.

Can`t answer that question, but I saw you have a DC-Elite and Shanling H5. How do they compare to the Air?

Hahah. Sold my H5. Because of the Air. I replaced the op-amp with a pair of Burson v5i and it is really something special. Big, beautiful sound. Really amazing. I've tried MANY portables and it is really top-tier. Destroys any bluetooth or dongle in my view... except for one...

The DC-Elite is shockingly good. So, so powerful. Powers planar headphones with ease. Sounds stellar. I'm of the view that DACs just can't differentiate anymore and that the amp is the real story with high end gear. The AIR + DC-Elite are delivering a desktop-quality source chain in my view. I can't speak to the crazy 5k+ desktop stuff but they compete for sure.

so you are using the elite as a cabled dac into the air as cabled amp?
