Thanks. Shielding or non-shielding in my setup (DX320 LO)? Difference is about 30%, but would the Orpheus be that much different?

First Times is already excellent, even no shielding .
Orpheus is the best, but has a higher cost.

shielding gives you incredible black background, sharp transients, notes coming at you from completely empty space .

I'll bite the bullet and get the Orpheus with shielding. More than cost of the amp itself, but prob worthwhile. Thanks again.

and yet there's always 1 more question : If used in battery mode (standalone, no charging wire), does adding the PS100 make a difference, or just getting more battery power?

I advise you to add the power supply, because the sound performance of the A100TB gets a further improvement, as well as getting a longer life with its battery.
Then you must always keep the A100TB on OFF and only turn on the PS100 pro (and recharge only its battery ).

Did anyone manage to use the Sparkos ss3602 (an 8pin riser may be required) in the ouput stage with the lid closed ?

How does it compare sonically with the V5i-d in the output stage?

How about Sparkos SS2590 with the lid closed

Rolled the output stage opamps to V5i-D's. Stage is incredibly improved.

Sparkos SS3602 do not fit at all in the input stage. Not even possible when placed on top of different number of extenders, with the unit's lid closed, unless the battery is removed.

Looks like I'm going the same route you did before. Getting the A100TB+PS100 soon, and somewhere down the road, experiment with op-amps. From your experience earlier, seems like V5id (input) and V6 Vivid (output) are the best combo. Obviously the lid can't be closed

I haven't tried the other combinations. After reading various experiences of other people, I opted for the V5i D input and V6 Vivid output combination and the result is simply wonderful. And you have an ultra black background.
The only limitation using the V6s is that you can't keep the A100TB closed. But I only use it at home, so it's not a problem for me
