Got it, thanks
Yes I made that registry change and sennheiser app show me the streaming codec was aptx, I use Amazon music, no matter hd or ultra hd Titel all sameAre you sure Windows was using aptX as now it defaults to choose AAC which IMO is dumb, so it is now SBC / AAC / aptX, you can edit the registry if you want to avoid this.
aptX and aptX Adaptive will sound basically the same if you are listening to CD rips as all it is doing is 16/44.1k at a lower bitrate than aptX (between the two antennas not your files) while claiming to still be as good or better.
ooh struck a nerve there havent i.What has that to do with this topic?
If you like AAC so much you have no need for these dongles,
I have an "old" KB8P version 1.3. I am not able to upgrade it to 2.29 firmware... The updater command is "empty" (just blinking cursor) ?? I succeed to upgrade it to v1.5, but 2.28 or 2.29 do not work... Any idea ? ThanksGot my KB8P updated to 2.28. I re-flashed it with v1.5 and then it took v2.28. Now the English KB8P Dongle Assistant 2.0 works with it.
I see mention of a "KBC" in the new dongle assistant. I'm guessing this is the same overall device but with USB-C? I'd be delighted to learn it's both USB-C and QCC3071 but I doubt I'll get that lucky,
In my case, my KB8P needs a bluetooth device connecting to it before doing the update. You may try the same, if you haven't before.I have an "old" KB8P version 1.3.
