@itchyears great review of the BT-W6. I would like to add that it is the only usb-c dongle I own that does not play nice with the iPhone if a case is installed. All of my other dongles work with no problem when using a case.

Anyone else has experience of using the BT-W6 with iphone with a case on? The only reason I am holding off from getting one is I can't be certain whether my casetify case is going to hinder its usage.

Works fine with my Spigen Magnetic Hybrid Ultra case which has a larger cutout around the USB-C port than the official Apple silicone case.

I have always been a huge fan of first run APT-X LL (preferred over the latter LL adaptive)..

A product that holds it own is, unbelievably, the Astell and Kern SE300
The latency on BT sink (BT receive) is nearly equivalent to Apt X LL, and maybe as fast/faster that Apt X Adaptive LL.

For SBC receive that is impressive.

Sound quality from SBC receive, (from a FiiO BTA30 transmitter), is phenominal.
Partner and I watched a Ghostbusters 4K/UHD from the Playstation console, output via bluetooth SBC, and fed into the home hifi.
lip sync was perfect for the entire movie (as were all sound effects etc).. this is usually achieved in media players and laptops etc by delaying the image to the screen (is aware using bluetooth and adjusts to sync the audio and video somewhat), but the Playstation console couldn't do this. (it was outputting to a Cambridge Audio DACMagic in UAC1 mode, and hence in 'realtime' with the image going to the 22ms (total) delay OLED TV, AND the Cambridge DAC=>Fiio BTA30=> ~ Bluetooth SBC ~ =>Astell & Kern SE300.

This was incredible..

(for comparison the Fiio M11+ was closer to the 200-300ms delay range, and another Astell & Kern DAP, the SP2000T, was more akin to 160ms range..)
The SE300 is a gamers delight.
I now play Aliens Rogue Incurison (VR) and games on the PS Portal, via the SE300.. (class A output headphone amp with more driving power for headphones than the aforementioned SP2000T etc) - feels better than having an iFi Diablo in ones' pocket, and is a vastly superior DAC (even over my home desktop R2R).

SE300 are on clearance globally it seems. probably one of the best hifi purchases I have ever made.

Just search 180 degree adapter on your Amazon, since it maybe different wherever you may live.

I see these and these, good idea to get from amazon just in case it does not fit your phone/case, easier returns at least

cheers, not to worry I don't have my Px8s either, I just left it blank and form went through.

I'd like to have a back up option one day, the stax s5 are ridiculously priced unless buying from China where there almost half the price during promos.
FWIW their reply:
Thank you for your message.

As my colleague also mentioned, we have passed on your feedback to the relevant team.

We wish you a nice day.

Updated my reviews for P100 headphones (software bugs) and Eppfun LE/le511 mode audio Transmitter.

For some reason my Eppfun LE/le511 unit just suddenly dies and stops powering on, its happen like 4 times. The first one lasted 3-4 weeks, the others all died in the space off 2-3 days each. Not sure what is going on really, maybe the product is faulty or a bad batch.

I have contacted Eppfun technical support team, and it's hard to understand from chinese/english, but their email did mention a firmware for le511 to fix power issue. But I can't apply it if its not detected/dead! I have emailed further for clarification.

Gone back to the Avantree Oasis plus+ which at least works the most stable and reliable with same exact wiring after 2 months, just sounds poor in comparison.

@mcnaugha is your unit still working well?

Yikes! I haven't touched mine since that first day. Is there a downloadable update or is it one of those ones where they give you a link to a random Google Drive?

Yeah was tad confusing since when I was speaking to eppfun support the language barrier is there, he just said goto website and download to fix power.

I believe it's this link:

https://www.meppfun.com/file-share/1f559285-3ca9-433d-bfb1-3cc974c345ff

I think its this one: eppfun AK8675 Max1 Software for Power issue V2.0 (1223)

Our models epfun LE BT transmitter but also known as le511, in that unzipped folder it does have an le511 file and its the latest firmware updated.

My units on 24/7 and always in use, so perhaps that is why I noticed it quicker.

Maybe better to just switch it off your unit, if not using to save it!

I will hopefully find out if that is the right firmware and if it fixes the issue and post back on here.

Does anyone know if there is a USB Bluetooth Audio dongle out there that has a physical button that may be used for muting a paired Bluetooth headset's microphone?

BTD 600 works well with Momentum 4 and iO-12 with that regard.
Note that if you like to mix and match physical device and OS mute controls, that works pretty unreliable (state of the dongle and the app, e.g. MS Teams, quite quickly becomes not in sync). So for best result one should use either of the methods solely.
