The NAD Viso HP50 is highly regarded as an accurate headphone. This is Tyll Hertsens' review - http://www.innerfidelity.com/content/i-love-these-headphonesthe-nad-viso-hp50 , and the LH Labs Geekout 1000 DAC has also received positive reviews. This is Michael Mercer's review - http://parttimeaudiophile.com/2014/03/28/geek-out-1000
Hey. Thanks for that info. I know the NAD is highly regarded, probably quite similar to the Sony MDR-7520 with maybe a bit less bass, slightly stronger mids and better soundstage. Thats why I asked your opinion of that headphone using your amps. I am running mine out of a lowly Fiio E11K and am enjoying it.
The reason why I am in so much doubt and confusion as well is that I am considering an audio interface to try and get myself back into writing and recording music. So even looking at those. I will get to where I want to be eventually. Just need to buckle down and make some decisions. In the meanwhile, would love to hear the opinions of people like you on the gear that I am targeting. A lot of reviewers delve too much into the euphoric language and makes a lot of stuff sound great even if they really aren't. I know Tyll is a good guy. So I trust his opinion, but persons who own different gear are also a wonderful source of info. Hence this forum for me.
Thanks
