well I've tried some cd3k earpads on my 770 :
a lot softer than the stock velours, but I hate leatherette as it starts plushing after a few months.
it has definitely lowered the overwhelming bass and also increased the soundstage!
I'm seriously considering the stock genuine leather ear pads, anyone knows if these would fit ?

these are cheap, but I wonder if they'd be as comfy and soft as the SONY ?

once you got leather(ette), you never go back
