I'm a long time member of Bimmerforums.com wanting to see if there are more of us on here.

My user name should look familiar since I use the same name on there...

ex bimmer guy here

. i've been out of the scene for a while now. i used to hand around bimmer.org before it became roadfly. previous rides in order of ownership were: 1970 2800, 1973 Bavaria, 1988 535is, 1976 2002, 1988 M5, 1987 535is, 1975 2002, 1966 1600 and finally a 1986 325es. now i have bikes - too many bikes. fortunately (or unfortunately) bikes are far less expensive and far more exhilarating than the M5 was

. i do find myself drooling over roundie 2002s from time to time. the e36 M3s are looking quite attractive these days as well from a value to performance standpoint. as i told the gentleman at the Roundel when i canceled my membership - "i'll be back..." and i will someday, it'll be a bit longer though. i'm thankful that this headphone addiction is cheaper than the ///M addiction

I've been tempted in buying an E28 for the longest time, although I'll probably settle on an E30 318iS due to gas prices. I drive an E36 and while it isn't an M (Close enough, though) it sure sucks gas like one =P

From what I've seen though, this headphone business is just as addictive, if not more due to it being easier on the wallet haha.

Soon to be, if I can find one in cincinnati. I'm currently looking for a 2002 330xi sedan. Hopefully I'll find one in the next couple of months. Until then...I envy you guys..

I've got a fairly modded E36 328i and it actually gets better gas mileage than it did stock.

I average about 24mpg with hard driving. I have a 335i as my current daily driver, but still like to tool around town in my E36. They both feel quite different from each other. One makes me work for speed, the other lets it come effortlessly. Really depends on the mood.

About the best made autos on the road.

Fatcat,
My first car was a 67 fastback. Three speed 289 stock. Bought it from a graduating school mate for $300. Fun car. Had to park on a hill though. Only way it would start most mornings. Beautiful lines.
