I have a SR71A while one thumb screw at the back got lost accidentally. I cannot find any replacement around. Could any one kindly tell me where & how can I get one in UK ?
 
I actually asked Ray but he said he is too busy so only posts with FedEX, which means a pair of thumb screws would cost me more than $50...nonsense

IIRC those thumbscrews were custom made hence the price.  You could try taking it in somewhere to find out if they have something that works.

I tried, maybe I should go to some more RC shop next time. It is really annoying to think about this, however $50 for two screw thumbs seems to be ridiculous...
 
 
If the screw is in size M3, everything is fine.

That sounds unfortunate.  But it sounds like you'll spend a lot of money just trying out different screws or you'll have to send your one screw in to make some customs.  I agree that $50 is a lot to charge for a pair of screws and S&H but it might end up being cheaper and save you quite a bit of head ache in the long run.  Perhaps you can place a WTB ad in the FS section and hope someone has a spare they can sell you.
