Many AKGs have the 1/8" + screw-on adapter, although the older ones are wired directly to a 1/4" plug.

The weight of the 1/4" plug plus the adapter pulls down on the plug in whatever mobile device you are using. Ideal would be a low profile T-bend 1/8" plug like used in most IEMs.

Is the HD600 cable interchangeable with the HD650?
