New Head-Fier
I am a n00b about these things: What is the difference between "EQ Off" and "EQ Flat"?
There are a few different versions of the APK. You want to install the version that says -armeabi-v7.Hey guys,
I signed up to this website because I am hoping someone can help me. I'm trying to install Spotify but keep getting a parsing error everytime I do. I have tried different versions and that doesn't help. I have factory reset the player still doesn't work, I have no idea what to do. Can someone offer some advice?
Thanks

You can also download the universal version directly from Spotify here - http://download.spotify.com/android/SpotifyAndroid.apk
Just got free trial to Amazon Ultra HD after seeing activo post on fb today. Unfortunately, when checking for a song's resolution, nothing is played higher than 24/48, apparently because that is what amazon recognizes the ct10 as capable of. This is noted when one touches the ultrahd symbol under the song. It may list a recording in 24/192, but will play it at best at 24/48. Hope this can be corrected in the future. And ideas, Jason? I looks like this
Track quality. 24-bit/192hz
Device capability. 24-bit/48hz
Currently playing at 24-bit/48hz.
@JasonNYC Hi Jason, did the devs get anywhere with this issue? I have the same problem using my phone even with the Sony Nwa45 as the app appears to prevent processing outside of android. The Ct10 would look like a great alternative but only if it can play at the track resolution.
Hi there, I haven't heard a CT10 as yet, waiting to see if it can play ultra HD from amazon before I purchase. The nwa45 sounds pretty good to my ears, but suffers from EU volume cap. Works pretty well with a set of PSB M4U2 thanks to the amp in the headphone though.Hi. Excuse me for going on a tangent here but how would you compare audio quality of Activo CT10 with Sony NWA45? If possible an iPod (any version)?

I see, thank you.
Will messing with RG tags circumvent this "EU volume cap"?
Thanks for that - you learn something every day. Just given mine an upgrade (I hope!) and rebooting to see if louder now.If you're buying a Walkman from outside the EU, you won't have to worry about the volume cap at all.
Otherwise, the volume cap can be easily circumvented. Google SonyNWDestTool.
I get the same error message from the direct download of the Spotify app. Let me discuss with our dev team and do a bit more research and get back to you.Sorry Jason - another post hoping you're still fielding queries. Like some others I'm struggling to get Spotify to install and/or work on a new CT10 I had high hopes for. So far:
The universal version downloaded direct from Spotify (as you've advised for others) seems to install, but then on log in goes straight to the green ring of death and a "Sorry, something seems to have gone wrong please try again" error, which no amount of trying again seems to fix;
The latest version using a download from the APKPure site (v8.5.87.921) generates a parse error when I tried to install. I notice you suggest that could mean a corrupted download but I got the same effect with older versions (v8.5.84.875 & v8.5.82.894). Most other suggestions for dealing with parse errors seem to relate to phone security features which don't seem relevant to CT10. Trying with older versions still, they seem to copy OK into the OpenService folder, but then don't show up under Services when you use the CT10.
I've gone through three rounds of attempts doing factory resets between times with the same results each time, and tried with both my old PC and a new laptop in case it made a difference (which it didn't).
Amazon music installed without a hitch so there must be something different at play with Spotify.
It's a premium Spotify account that I'm trying to sign into.
Any advice from you (or anyone else who's cracked this) would be very welcome. Ken.
