Antipodes Audio DX V3 music server roon core, one mans unofficial guide down the rabbit hole.

Well happy new year, 2025 another happy antipodes audio year shaping up. Not much to report, still slinging usb to Phoenix to TT, everything is good.
Hey man... I have oportunity to pick up a DX v3 with Olandra. I have a couple questions before I pull the trigger if you dont mind.

Some roon cores can only accomidate a certain number of tracks. Does the DX3 have a limit to the number of tracks the roon core can suport?

Can the DX3 read and support a usb hard disk? I just want to make sure it can read music outside of the built in ssd.

Thanks

i have 375 gigs worth on a 1tb drive. no issues. how big a drive can one put in? dunno but i heard some folks with 4 tb to 8, but yes it probably slows down. yes there's a usb port for back ups when there were back ups, not sure how back ups are done on new amsv 5.1.I don't use a usb stick for tunes but internal ssd ..on the antipodes audio site there are forums to create questions that you seek, mark cole is who to direct specific questions to.

enjoy
