Why change the color scheme, or remove the mic? I think it's the best looking LCD.

The GX already comes with a cable that doesn't have the mic.

This is something I've been wanting to know ever since I reviewed them. I wanna see graphs with said suede pads too. :frowning2:

Like this is what I REALLY want.

I been spending a lot of time with the GX recently, and it's such a shame it's overlooked. If Audeze sold them as a regular headphone, I think it may have garnered more attention from regular audiophiles. But they were targeting a different crowd, or at least one with overlap.

It:

1. Lightest big body LCD with looks similar to the MX4
2. Far, FAR better than just a 'gaming' headset Just as I said long before working for Audeze.
3. I think in some aspects, its just as good as other LCDs.

Like you, I prefer cloth/suede pads. I'd have gotten the Dekoni suedes long ago, but that massive reduction at 10khz, scares me.

Heya... I kinda need some help... Have you guys seen this kind of defect on the LCD-GX before, it's contained to just the left side and it started as little bubbles a month or so after I sent the LCD-GX to have them serviced due to balance issues.

@aspirina750 Have you taken them into outer orbit recently..? I'm pretty sure that model is NOT compatible with space dust..! :warning:

Do you live on a tropical (Salty area) or sweat a lot? This looks like the sweat acids corroding the aluminium. Have a look around for Aluminium sweat corrosion.

Send an e-mail to Audeze support. It seems like they won't answer here. A crazy possibility is that while it was with them being serviced, some intern was assigned the task to give it a clean-up and applied the wrong product. Over the summer I had my work laptop in for servicing and it came back all greasy and weird. Turns out a temporary worker they had for the summer applied the wrong cleaning agent.

No. we do reply here. We haven't seen something like this. Looks like oxidation. One of our support folks will be in touch shortly over email.
