Anyone else using a Dev Phone 1? Awesome phone...don't even have to root it!

I may be in the future. I'm planning on flashing my bootloader to Dev.

Just moved up to JF ADPv1.5, having Dev Phone firmware is pretty nice. Anyone else made the jump up to Haykuro/Dude/JesusFreke Cupcake updates yet?

No one here has OTA updates yet for Cupcake, do they?

I wouldnt install android on a phone for ur mom yet, the devs are still tweaking and changing things aroound, and there are still problems that would frustrate the average person. Id say stick with winmo for now, until android fully works.

I use a Fuze, and I like it a lot more than the G1- custom cooked ROM on it running on a 1.8mbps network

. I work for ATT though so I get them for free pretty much... I don't like the size of the G1 in comparison, a lot of T-Mobile users try to port over and keep their G1 so I help them configure it on our network. HTC <3

I have a question, since ATT is switching their 3g network over to the 850mhz spectrum, does that mean european phones or the unlocked G1 that only work on the 850mhz edge network right now, will have 3g?

happy g1 user here -- i am not a programmer, and am always leery of loading nonstd roms . the battery life is short, but i will buy the preggo battery soon.

overall, it is the best smart phone i've had, bb8700, e61i, mwg atom life, and cell reception in chicago is very good.

No. 3G speeds are ran on the 1900mhz spectrum (USA), or 1800mhz if you're anywhere else (except latin america, canada). There are some quad-band phones out there that would work on the 1.9ghz spectrum, but I don't think that the G1 is one of them since it doesn't show any type of UMTS symbol when connected on our network.

No, i mean ATT is taking 3g off the 1900mhz spectrum, and puttin it on the 850mhz.
