So I am planning on purchasing the LP2's shortly. I have read many reviews on them and decided that is what I want. What I haven't found or heard from you guys on here is whether it is needed to amp them or not. I will be listening mostly to dubstep and watching movies while deployed. If I was to amp I am trying to decide between the Fiio E17 or the ZO2. Any help would be appreciated.

Just received my LP2's today - to be honest this is my first pair of decent headphones and I (obviously) think they sound amazing.

However, I'm also looking to get a portable amp... From everything I've read, the PA2V2 looks like the best choice and I'll most likely be pursuing that route myself. Find out more about it here (each unit is manually built but they seem to have gathered loads of kudos from all over the world): http://www.electric-avenues.com/amplifiers.html

For further documentation I recommend searching these forums for reviews - and then here's a very comprehensive comparison: http://www.headfonia.com/music-on-a-budget-sub-100-portable-amps-shootout/

Hope this helps!
