Hey guys
bigsmile_face.gif

I am new to this forum and this is my first post.
First of all i wanna thank you all hifi`ers on headfi.
I`appreciate all the help i can get really.
I been reading alot here lately and you guys got me to buy Monster Turbine Pro Gold and the mp3 player Sony X-1050.
Really happy with the setup, and now i was starting to wonder if it is really worth it to get a amp.

If it`s worth it, which amp do you recommend with my setup.
I dont like amp that are huge xD.
And any other tips/tricks to tweaks things up is more then welcome.
I have heard good things about your website and am hoping someone will help me out. Thanks a lot

i do not have any experience with MTPG and the sony player.
however, i do have MTPC. they sound very nice unamped, straight out of cowon d2 and sansa clip. however, when i place pico in between, the MTPC become a whole another different beast.
if the golds are similar to the coppers, i can definitely recommend an amp. but make sure to get a decent amp, not a cheap one.

wow thats nice to hear.
From what other ppl say that MTPC and MTPG are really similar MTPC have slightly more detail and slightly more neutral.
While MTPG slightly less detail but more smooth and goes slightly deeper in the bass.
MTPG is abit warmer then MTPC.

So i guess my also can turn into a different beast

.
I was think about maybe buy Headamp pico slim or Headstage Arrow 12HE.
But would been nice if some one have test it, or some other amps that would give my setup a boost that worth it^^.
Best is if some one had similar mp3 since it would probly have a effect SQ.
Or correct me if im wrong.
