Could anybody help me please with this one! I definetly prefer SS, but if Tubes are a much better deal for the money, then by all means!

-It seem the Rudistors are no good match with Grado's
-Gilmore lite also seems no good match for GS-1000
-Maybe X-Can V8 (although both tube and dac) <- seems to have good synergy with GS1000
-Graham Slee SRG?
-Meier Symphony (too expensive, and it looks soo good), does ANYONE have this one??
-CIAudio VHP2+VAC1?
-Darkvoice 337? <- shipping is expensive
-WooAudio 3 (thanks fatcat) or 6? <- shipping is expensive
-Amity HPA5R <- seems made for the RS-1, and heard reports that the Amity 4 is good with GS1000, anyone any experience with this one?

Please also mind the customs price we have to pay here.

Also I'm very open for F/S deals!

Try a hybrid amp. The hybrids have plent of power and a nice neutral signature with a touch of tube tone and musicality. The Millet Starving Student hybrid at ~$100 is an excellent amp for low impedance headphones. The more advanced hybrids like the Millet Max, SOHA 2 .... or the new Millet Mini-Max seem to drive both high and low impedance headphones extremely well. I am a tube lover and I really enjoy the hybrids.

The hybrid amps are usually DIY builds but they come up frequently on the for sale forum .... and are amazing values. Moreover, all these amps have different builders so each amp has a touch of creativity and personality that set them apart. If you insist on a commercial build Whiplash Audio is selling a commercial version of the Millet Starving Student amp for $180 and the new Millet Mini-Max for $399.

Commercial offerings here ....

Yes the GCHA was recommended before, but its freakin expensive! I can't find the more expensive miller's at that site. I'm not gonna DIY myself, I'm looking for a medium priced (for me that is high prized

) amp, and I don't have any experience with this (only wiring electric guitars!)

M³, gives a lot of the current that the RS1 likes.
I liked my RS1 a lot when I had it with this amp.

Falls in your budget too, and you can get the matching power supply as well.
