You are correct. Have been using it with the Node 2i since 2020 or so and currently use it with 2x Node 2i (RME ADI-2 DAC confirms bitperfect is working properly via coax), a NAD M10 v2 and some Blusound Pulse M speakers (new BluOS 4.0 app shows bit depth and sample rate). Has been working well for me.I thought the Bluesound Node had Native Amazon support. I could be wrong but an alternative.

Amazon launches Music HD with lossless streaming

Bit perfect means that the data rate of a stream is delivered to the DAC unaltered. That is what you describe above.I don't know about Windows but my iOS/iPad OS and Android DAPs all play Amazon Music at 192 kHz when using an external USB DAC regardless of the track's native rate, even for Atmos. My Android DAPs that bypass SRC also play at 192 kHz internally. I don't consider that bit-perfect, but upsampling really shouldn't be destructive. And you don't get clicks and pops the changing sample rates as everything plays at the same setting.

Many of the tracks are actually 44.1/48/96 kHz from the source and the Amazon app is upsampling to 192 kHz. Even Atmos, which is also 48 kHz (I believe). I guess it depends on how strict your interpretation is for bit-perfect. Many would rather see the tracks sent to the DAC at the original unaltered sample rate.
Not what I see. There are CD tracks and higher sampling tracks. Amazon Music app pass them at their native resolution. Many of the tracks are actually 44.1/48/96 kHz from the source and the Amazon app is upsampling to 192 kHz. Not on my hardware. Glad it's working for you... No reason to debate further...

Hey bud, I believe this is a consequence of IOS,I don't know about Windows but my iOS/iPad OS and Android DAPs all play Amazon Music at 192 kHz when using an external USB DAC regardless of the track's native rate, even for Atmos. As an example on my Mac mini M1 I have Hardware/Midi settings that if I set it to 96 or 192 everything stays at that rate. This was one of my disappointments with Amazon HD as without an exclusive mode it would not change, at least for me, with the IOS and the Wiim I believe this is not the case. I was hopeful but it was a no-go for me, and would have saved me a bunch of money
Cheers!!

Yeah, my MacBooks do the same based on the setting in "Audio Midi Setup". But just to verify nothing had changed, I tried my iPhone 15 and iPad Mini 6 with both my Mojo 2 and Paw S2 and both indicated 192 kHz at the DAC for all tracks, including Atmos. Similarly, I have Android DAPs that do the same, if they bypass SRC and display sample rate. I don't have a Wilm so maybe it's a different story, but I thought it was Android based? Of course some of my older Android devices (with SRC) convert everything to 48 KHz so they don't count...
Edit: I should have mentioned that my iFi Gryphon does the same... Maybe I'll check the Zen DAC Signature as well but it uses the same colors for multiple sample rates...

Now I feel like I'm reading a forum from 20 years ago where there was the console war between playstation and x-box... lol
There's no point in going around, Amazon HD doesn't do everything it should do for everyone and this is a fact. Then again, whether this is fine with some people is another fact. Tidal and Qobuz also have their problems, just think that on Androids they work better when under UAPP than with their native apps... but at least under UAPP they work great, Amazon HD does not take advantage of this opportunity and prefers to rely on the sale of Wii streams that some aren't interested in (me for example).

After reading this thread for a bit, I decided to give Amazon Music Unlimited a try again, I have been away for a while, so 30-day free trial for me, Yay!
After downloading the appropriate apps and using optical out of my Wiim Mini, and the Wiim app, I have an issue, maybe you guys have run into it.
I have a terrible static sound when trying to play any 192khz streams, all other bitrates are fine. Wiim is up to date, tried switching cables (3 so far) tried 3 different dacs, SMSL, iFi, RME, all with the same result.
Now I did not have this issue with Qobuz or Tidal using everything in the same manner.
Any thoughts?
Cheers!!

I know I have it somewhere, you think it could be that even though no issues with the other streaming services on the Wiim?Use the toslink cable that came with your Mini.

The Mini toskink is very sensitive to cables and cable connection. Try, try again but most say the little toslink supplied is the one that works. Also do a SPDIF output resolution test to 192kHz/24 bit in the WiiM app.

Agreed I have heard that, many times. Being the one I have, I had no issues with other services I figured I was good but not for Amazon somehow. The Mini toskink is very sensitive to cables and cable connection. Try, try again but most say the little toslink supplied is the one that works.
I will look for it and try, I certainly have seen stranger things lol
Cheers!!

It just samples everything to OS shared mode rate. Set it to 44.1 it will be 44.1, set it to 192 it will be 192. This is not bit-perfect by any stretch. It always was this way btw, since they introduced HD tier.
From the horse's mouth.
