I read good things about this. Being Pioneer top of the line so it should be decent right. Is it worth the $79?

the few of us to have these like them. 
they are huge, very very large soundstage (largest i have heard), easy-ish to drive. typical pioneer sound- crisp highs, deep solid bass, a smile shaped eq curve. NOT a flat response sound curve at all
 
if u took a sennheiser hd600 and gave it a v-shaped eq you wound get the pioneer
